Chakki Atta: Why is it important?

Now when it comes to wheat flour, the process is simple - grind the whole wheat grain into a fine structure. However, that’s not it. 

Chakki atta is not just a process, but rather a tradition when it comes to India and the deeply-rooted culture. Chakki is a traditional hand stone mill comprising of a pair of two flat stones which are used for grinding grains. The pair of stones is connected with a rod that is used to grind.
